"Sayonara" leads the 46 foot class into Newport past Castle Hill Light, 1891. | "Sayonara", owned by Bayard Thayer, can be seen surfing down the waves as she sails towards Newport, closely followed by "Oweene" (owned by the Turner brothers) and others of the 46 foot class. All yachts have spinnakers set and are running with the wind dead astern. The third yacht, under a cloud shadow, is sailing on the opposite tack to the others.
